We had a great time with Grandma & Grandpa visiting us in the Pacific Northwest.  We enjoyed taking them to a local spot about 8 minutes from our house,  Seabeck, WA.  Its a small, little town that has Scenic Beach State Park which over looks the Hood Canal that splits the Olympic & Kitsap Peninsulas.  We are blessed to live in a beautiful area that has access to forests, mountains, and oceans all in the same area.

We took a little drive out to Old Port Gamble, and old saw mill and lumber town.  Established in the 1890’s it was a one point the oldest and longest lumber mill in the Western US.  Do you want to know how big cities like San Francisco were built, from all the lumber cut down from old mill towns like Port Gamble & Seabeck.  Port Gamble is unique because the whole town was preserved and protected and is how a Historic Site & Tourist spot.

We also celebrated Timmy’s 9th Birthday party with Grandma & Grandpa. Can’t believe our little one is turning 9!  We actually forgot to get candles but improvised: 3 + 6 = 9,  right!  We had the Beck boys over and some family friends to help us celebrate.

Of course we had to visit the City of Seattle, even if it was just a short trip.  Just taking the hour long Ferry boat across the Puget Sound is an adventure in and of itself. Thanks for the visit Grandma & Grandpa, we can’t wait for you guys to come back!
